02 scrambler

Default 02 scrambler

NcScrambler i looked at my ETC and i have one question should those 2 contacts be touching while the throttle is released?i have about a 1/16-1/8 inch between the 2

Depends, if you have the plastic cover, then no they shouldn't touch at all. If you have the metal cover, then yed they touch. Look at this link at #18 for a visual on the adjustment. Hope this helps, oh yeh, this link belongs to Cob. ETC

i have the plastic cover so i guess im all set..thanks for that link...what is the purpose of the etc anyhow?

Default 02 scrambler

The purpose of the ETC is... It stands for Electronic Thrrottle Control. It is a safety feature that is in place just case your throttle cable were to ever accidentally hang in the wide open position, the contacts (in your case) would touch and cause the spark to be cut from the motor, effectively allowing you to stop the atv and fix the problem.
