Help, looking for Polaris 4x4 advice

Default Help, looking for Polaris 4x4 advice

Going to get back in the 4x4 market. I want a larger motor, and low range preferrable with diff. lock. what does polaris have? what do you recommend? Prices?

The Sportsman sounds like what you are looking for Polaris Sportsman

How much larger of a motor? The Sportsman series goes up to 700cc rating.

They also make utility machines, like the Ranger, or ATP.

ALL Polaris 4x4 machines have a locked front end, and selectable 2wd-4wd.

Any Sportman will make you happy, from the single to the double cylinders. All Polaris atv have true 4 wheel drive, with on demand 4 wheel drive. That means that if it's in 4 wheel drive (flip of the switch) the front tires do not pull until the rear tires turn (spin).

Have a friend who had one a few years back and it didn't have down hill compression, have they fixed this?

All Polaris 500 cc and over have EBS which use the engine to slow down going down .Down hill compression is there now.
