Default spark arrestor question

i have a '99 warior with a couple mods to it.My dad wants me to wait till like august or late july to get a pipe.I know some of u may think this is dumb but i want to make it louder. My friend told me I could take off the spark arrestor and that would make it louder. Will anything go wrong with this? what is the worst thing that could happen should i do it? Would it add any power or increase throttle respnse?

Default spark arrestor question

The worst that could happen is you could start a forest fire. That's what they're on there for. Or the DNR or Forest Service could give you a ticket for removing it. You sound like you're underage, which means if you get caught, your dad will be the one who gets busted. Think that'll make him want to let you get a pipe sooner? Loud can be cool, I like loud pipes myself. But if you ride on public lands, be sure you have a spark arresting silencer on your new pipe.

I think you will be a lot better off leaving the spark arrestor in there.
