Is MSRP the norm?

Our dealer is charging us MSRP for a Trail Boss and a Scrambler 50; just curious if MSRP is the norm when purchasing ATVs? Everyone has to make a buck, so not griping; just curious if I need to shop around more next time.

With some research on pricing in your area (state) you will be able to beat MSRP on those ATV's. I bought the first Predator my dealer received and got it for less than MSRP when I found an online price from a dealer 250 miles away. And don't pay freight & setup, thats a load of BS too.

I did a lot of looking around prior to my new purchase and MSPR seemd to what everyone was asking....with a few questions showing interest, they usually came off it a little.
I got mine for less than MSRP out the door.....and watch for those "processing fees"
Ask for goodies if they won't come off it any...keychains, stickers, anything.....some aren't worth much but everyone likes freebies.

MSRP should be the norm, but it's exactly that, Manufactures SUGESTED Retail Price. It SHOULD be a price they start at and you snagle down from there. The dealers that charge more than that are just money hungry. If they get MSRP, they made a pretty penny already. Then you get the dealers that charge freight, set up, stuff like that. The only thing that should be charged on top of the agreed price is tax and registration.

Hi there, first post on this forum. I like the easy going discussions.
I just bought a new 03 600 here in MN for 5899 plus tax ($383). That was $1100 below MSRP. It was a year-end model closeout and one the largest Polaris dealers though. Had to shop around because they can vary alot. Maybe being closer to the plant helps?

I paid about 400.00 less than MSRP for my 04 SP and the dealer made me some really smokin deals on accessories also. He knocked about 50.00 a piece off 2 helmets that were 150.00 and has given me pretty good deals on my bags too. This is really out of the norm for around here because of our proximity to california it seems they think we can pay extra for everything!!!
Oh well at least they are treating me right at my shop..
