Hello again, can anyone tell me the modifications needed to make A Sportsman 500 kill a grizzly in the power department and whip it in a drag race.

Put the Grizzly motor on the Sportsman!

 

what about boring your sp500 out another 100cc's, that would be a good start?

 

Buy a 400 Explorer!!

 

Get yourself a good head start.

 

Clutch kit should do the trick.

 

a clutch kit, rejet, and an aftermarket pipe any you'll be in buisness

 

Instead of a jet kit how about a 40mm carb instead of the 32mm carb on it???

 

If you got the money and know how, swap in the cam and carb from the Scramblers 500 H.O. engine. I have heard of this done by a few people, and they say it really wakes the machine up. The engines are the same besides these few items, so it is a easy swap.

 

And lighter clutch weights is the only diff. in motors and this will give 20% more power like the 500 Scambler has.
