Ok this is realy not all that greate, but it is a nice improvement. For the ones that do not know how to addjust your rear shocks, this will be something for you to play with. I was at a friends house Saturday, and he asked if I was aware that I could change the setting of my rear shocks. I had been wanting to do this, but never got around to figuring out how to do this. It was so easy! It took just minutes to do this. You may want to jack up your bike, and take the rear wheels off first to get to the shocks easier. We used a set of chanell locks to turn the adjustment right below the spring on the shock. It should be a silver or gray colored ring with groves in it. It will take a little elbow grease to do this. Each time you make the setting move, it will stiffin/loosen the rear end. From the factory, my setting was set to the softest. This was casuing the bike to squat as soon as I sat on it. This ment less ground clearence from the get go. I moved it up to the stiffest setting. Now when I sit on the bike, if moves very little. When ridding the bike, I have not noticed alot of differnce in the handling as of yet. With my 2" lift kit, I have 14.5 ground clearence now in the back! Hey lightning,
I've made that suggestion numerous times on this board. I think it is a very important adjustment. It's amazing the difference it will make. We've only adjusted ours 2 clicks. It did not make the ride stiffer. Does moving it all the way stiff make it ride rougher? Or does it actually help, especially cornering at higher speeds. The machine likes to tractor in the corners, will that stiffness take that away?

I don't have alot of answers for you on this at this time. I made the addjustment, and took a short ride before putting the bike up. I hope to be riding some this week to find out more. To me, I could not feel that much difference in the ride. It did not seem to be beating me up or anything. The thing that I was really happy with was the ground clearance. Like I was saying, when I got on the bike before, the bike would squat a good bit. If you had a passanger, it would really get down. Now the bike bearly squats when I get on it.. This just means less fighting on those tougher mud holes. Can't wait to see what it's going to do for me.
Thanks again, and Roll Tide!
