pred or a kfx 400
#1
im not sure what i want but i have been looking up alot of stuff about them. i want to start raceing and i know the pred is more race ready but i do plan on rideing alot around in the woods and rideing for long amount of times so thats y i thought i should get the 400. Are 400's that far off from being a race atv or do u need to mod it. i dont have a problem with puting a pipe on it thanks. oh yeah when do u think the 04 because my local polairs dealer said the pred want come up till like next year.

It's hard to beat how the pred jumps and handles. What kind of racing are you looking to do? If cross country, then they are both very capable with the addition of a pipe or some tires and rims on the KFX. If motocross is your choice, then the pred is probably a little better suited out of the box. They both have great power and potential and handle great...All I can say is ride both and see which one suits you better. Go to your local OHV park and see if you can hand a couple guys $10 to test ride their machine to see how you like it!

I agree completly, but I'd still check out the yamaha yfz450 to see how you like them. There bran new and you might not have heard of them if you don't keep up with quads. It will probably be hard to get your hands on one though with everyone having them on preorder.

My son has a KFX400 and he is hard to beat. He is quick of the line and it handles well. The Polaris machine will handle the turns and jumps better the the KFX400. The best thing to do is try to test each one of them yourself.
