Default Rear Sprocket for Pred

I know this is an oldy, but CRAP!!! I just installed a 39 tooth in the rear and I can't believe the difference. I figured the change was a good idea because I am realatively fat arsed. I had no idea how much low end I would get. Lifted the front without even trying. I definitely waited way to long. Thanks for listening, I had to tell someone that gave a shizzy. Later guys.

Thats cool. I installed a 38t about 3 weeks ago but havnt had time to try it out. If that doesnt work for me I will change the front sprocket. I noticed in your pics you riding in the snow. Did you have studs on your pred? I rode mine in the snow for about 5 min. because I couldnt get it to go more than 15 ft. No traction at all with those stockers.

The 13/38 is a leave it in second gear harescramble setup. You do loose quite a bit on top end, but the wear and tear, and torque is worth it.

Should we change the title to Root Beer Bellies "R" Us?

I just took it to the track today for the first time after the sprocket change. Major difference. The track was a dirtbike track back in the day and it had a 50 foot, about 50 degree hill with two jumps. I was able to rip up it no problem, it that was with my stock setup I don't think it would have been so easy.

Hey NCC, I didn't have studs, we had cabin fever and were just spinning and roosting each other, no traction at all. Just had to get out.
