Tres, I wasn't jumping you... I was just commenting that the Raptor was "light", and now the 450 seems "really light". Cool looking machine, just have to see how things go.

Right they are!!
Bombardier web site has the DS650 at 470# and the DS650 Baja weighing in at a whopping 482 lbs!

Bet thats fun to press to your chest when lifting into the back of your lifted truck

Was over on BansheeHQ.com and there's a guy on there that said he weighed his YFZ450 and wet it ran around 372lbs. Or something along those lines..... the HQ is down right now so I can't get all the facts.

I saw that typo too. There's two scenarios on Dirty Wheels: Those guys either really don't know what they are printing, or they really, really do their best to keep Polaris at bay. I'm leaning towards, the latter.

Sometimes the magazines just get the facts mixed up and it bugs the crap out of me. That's the main reason I stopped buying DW. Things like using the specs from a previous year when there were noticeable changes made for the current model. Here's an example: DW Feb. 2002 Article about the 400EX. On page 107 under the top right picture it says that the 400EX has 329cc. The spec. block to the left says 397cc. These magazines need to get the facts right. Don't they have proof readers?

If you think that a 500 lb Predator is bad. You should see the ATV Action August 2003. ATV Action has the dry weight for the Kawasaki Lakota at 4448 lb.

The newer Raptor's are heavier they changed some of the Items a-arms subframe and the new dry weight was said to be about 415 or so. If you want to get facts right 100% of the time just buy ATV Sport they have never made a Typo or a mistake!

Um, I wouldn't go that far, but the data is checked multiple times to be as accurate as possible. We're all human, but it just seems funny how Dirtwheels frequently flubbs up the Polaris info.
