Back pressure in the recoil starter???
#1
I rode the neighborhood kids around the yard today and my battery died (again). When I went to pull start it the handle popped off like there was pressure behind it. This happened twice. Is this normal? If not what could be wrong? I have to take it to the shop because since the day I brought it home if you ride with the headlight on for awhile the battery dies. Should I mention the recoil or will they look at me like a dumb@ss?

on a 2 stroke, it is occassionally common for there to be kickback that feels like it's gonna rip your arm out of you socket. Its becase there is noe decompressor, which most 4-strokes have, but the t-blazers don't. As for the battery, I would have that all checked out under warranty if your machine is still covered...but it sounds like your recoil problem is just the from pulling and not starting with a tight cord, or pulling at the start of the compression stroke...which makes you sware and it rips the rope out of your arm!! SON OF A.....

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't jerk the rope back. It actually pops the rubber handle off the housing like there is air pressure behind it. Yes it is still under warranty but I'm not having much luck with the dealers in my area.
