I seen a couple of new Suzuki 500's trying to climb out of a ditch today. The second one was at the bottom waiting for the first to make it out. Well the first didn't make it and slid backwords down the ditch and smashed the hell out of front of the other one. After a lot of swearing they just could not get out of that ditch. They would get to the top spinning 3 wheels, but just couldn't get over the crest. I have had no problem getting out of that ditch with my Mag 500. It really hit home how good of a 4-wheel drive system Polaris has. By the way, they did get out by blazing a trail through the brush (scratching the heck out of there machines) and going around. Won't see them again. Muddin in Mich.

Interesting story, burky00.

Since you mentioned you had no difficulty with the ditch on your Polaris, I assume you were riding your machine at the time the Suzukis were having their trouble.

Did you offer them a pull with a tow strap?

Well Tree Farmer, Actually I walked down to see who was trespassing on my property. I run that trail usually every day on my machine, which crosses the road about 100 yards from my house. They came from my property, crossed the road, went down the ditch, couldn't get through,(downed trees from storm the night before) and were coming back. I had a talk with them after they got back on the road. Muddin in Mich.

Well, I forgot my pistol. But they seemed like good kids, and I know there dads, so they promised to ask me if they want to go through again. They just wanted to find some mud. How can you stay mad when you hear that from a fellow ATVer.

Cool, Burky!

Thanks for the clarification, and for, as Paul Harvey says, "The Rest of the Story."

In defense of Quadrunner 500's everywhere, if they tapped the front break the diff would lock up and they probably would have made it. I havent met anything I cant climb, unless it would cause me to flip. Good story though! Lets not have a color war.

A 300 would have a easier time of it with it's locked 4wd option and it should be offered on the 500 also.
