Default brakes and discs

I was lubing my '00 Trail Boss today, and checking a few other things. I took a front wheel off to inspect the brakes. I turned the wheel without the tire, and it seems that the brake pads are touching the disk a little bit. I think it is happening on the rear too. The wheel would turn about a turn and a half before it would stop. I made sure the brakes weren't locked at the lever at all. Seems to me just a little bit of resistance would be bad, especially in a TB that doesn't have a huge powerband anyway!

Any advice or help?

Larry

Hydrolic brakes always touch the disc. When you let go of the brake lever, they will pull away some, but usually always ride on the disc. Be sure to keep the brake itself clean, and a little wd40 where the pads ride inside the brake after cleaning always helps.
