I just did an accurate gas mileage check on my 03 700. Went 22 miles over very rough steep rocky terrain, probably 80% in lo range. One stretch 6 miles long took 2 hours, all lo range. Took exactly 2 gallons, 11mpg. This thing will crawl over just about anything. I crawled over a couple of large downed trees I never would have believed possible. This machine continues to impress me everytime I ride it.

 

I agree...My SP700's get 82-90 miles per tank.....

 

Hey have ya'll made any mods to your 700??? My gas mileage sucks. It maybe because we run almost wide open when we ride and run in low range ridding thru swamps and crossing the creek. I don't get but somewhere around 30-45 miles to the tank. During huntin' season I get much better when scouting, putting up stands, planting food plots, setting up feeders, etc.

No mods on mine yet. The gas mileage check I did yesterday is probably worst case almost all lo range, very rough terrain but no mud. According to my gps, I averaged 3.8 mph through the roughest part. I think it should do a little better than that in hi range normal trail and gravel road riding, mabye 60-70 miles per tank?

 

In all types of riding, I get about 65 miles before hitting reserve.
