Default Wiring problem

I'm giving life to a badly wrecked 97 Xplorer. The entire headlight/speedo pod is gone. I've built a small plastic 'dashboard' for the ignition switch, choke and indicator lights because a new pod is expensive. Without a hi-beam headlight, will I have a problem completing a circuit?

Last year I found that a TB400 wouldn't start, even with a new battery, until I replaced all the burned-out bulbs. It had been pull-started for months with a bad battery. Now, with this Xplorer will I have a problem completing the circuit without a headlight? If so, any way to bypass the hi-beam headlight circuit?

i dont think there should be any problem and if there is the way to bypass it would be to buy a single beam switch and replace the duel beam one..im just guessing here but it seem right!!
