Default Predator Advice?

Hello,
I sold my warrior last year because I was getting bored of it, well I finally decided that I need a new toy and I'm looking to spend about $8000 canadian.
I'm kind of stuck between a Banshee ($6699 new) and a predator ($7699 new) Now I ride alot of cutlines with some mud and alot of gravel pit, with the occasional big leaps too
Now my brother is selling his kodiak for a new yzf450 quad, and I want to be able to run with him would the predator be able to do this (in a reliable way too) with about a grand dropped into it on motor mods (I heard they come with very good suspension stock)?

Thanks
Bubba

Bubba.
If he keeps his stock I'd buy the pred.
Forget the shee. Its days are numbered

If he doesn't--toss a coin.
Pred/yfz.
The best two bikes out there.

Good luck.

Geoff.

Hey thanks for the replie,
Well I can see him maybe getting a pipe and filter but that will probably be the extent of mods to it, I on the other hand would definetly be willing to tear apart the motor to put in some goodies

Also when are the 2004's predators going to be released? Is there any chance the tranny will be fixed so that you can powershift?

Thanks
Bubba

Come on dude you live in alberta we can ride anywhere
But I live near Innisfail which is about 10 mins south of red deer. A local ride area is 15 mins west of Innisfail on Highway 54, It is near the dickson dam, it is a huge gravel pit called the north boat launch.
Or else you can just go near rocky mountain house and ride cutlines everywhere.

ahhh yes....those cutlines....practically everywhere also where i go to...but we have ridden them all. we ride them every soo often, since we ride the dirtbikes more than the quads, tough on the hands with the 125 and that clutchen. gasen and braken. arms get a little tired after a while. Might just have to try that gravel pit ur talken about, the one we go to isnt that big. but awsome hills to climb. and awsome uphill jumps to the platue ontop of some of the hills there, i have some pics of us jumpen it with our 125's, wanna c em?
