Water in my counter balance oil???
Yes you do,the dipstick is located right behind the pull start housing.10w 30 is all you need and all it holds is 70cc's.The drain for it is located under the case. There are actually 3 drain plug's under the engine 1-the starter drain,2-the counterbalance drain,3 the crankcase drain.Hope this helps.

Water in my counter balance oil???
Yeah, I think you guys are right. I was hoping it was something little that I could fix myself. But it's still under warranty so I'm going to take it to the dealer. I just hope they don't take forever to get it done. Thank you very much for your replies. I'll let you know what they find.

I kinda had a feeling you would be back. Luckily its still under warranty, because if you have been driving around for over a month with coolant leaking into your oil, that counter balance could cost some big bucks, compared to the $7 for seals. Polaris just can't seem to get this water pump seal issue figured out. When the dealer is done, you should take some tubing and run it from your weep hole on the water pump and route it up higher or put a very small amount of grease over the weep hole after washing it, keeps the crud out.

The yellow dipstick is for the trans, the counter balance dipstick is located under the airbox, it is aluminum (silver), with a slot in it for a large flat screwdriver, using a long screwdriver, with seat removed makes it much easier, but it can be done by hand. The drain plug is located at very front of the engine, towards the center.

Water in my counter balance oil???
Ethylene Glycol (antifreeze) is very detrimental to bearings because it has the potential and probability of breaking oils down and eliminating their ability to even have a film strength in a very short amount of time. It is almost as bad as running no oil at all. These contaminants in your system are also very corrosive, hopefully you changing your oil after each ride has helped prevent rust from forming on the countershaft. I would hope your dealer Tech would be aware of the potential problems and give them a good look over, but it couldn't hurt to run it by him to make sure. Good Luck

Water in my counter balance oil???
I don't want to bash my dealer because I believe they are good people. BUT...... I don't have a lot of faith in the mechanic. He missed a lot of things when he worked on my quad before. I have the same feeling about the antifreeze in the bearings (NOT GOOD). Oh well , atleast it's still under warranty. I'll just hope for the best and try not to get pi$$ed off. Thanks for your help.
