Scrambler 500..adding K&N, rejet?

Ok, my bro has a 02 Scram 500. He wants to add a K&N air filter. Will he have to rejet the carb? We're at sea level. I doubt he'd see any performance gains with it..but he wants it..thanks guys

Hello I put a K&N in mine and did not rejet. I seem to notice a little better low end responce with it .

ok..just curious...why you wouldnt have to rejet, i guess the difference between airflow is not enough to warrenty a re-jet.

The scramblers come a little rich from the factory. With the added airflow it will put it about perfect.

i put ak&n in my scrambler and you can definatley feel it maybe its because i only weigh 135 lbs

Scrambler 500..adding K&N, rejet?

I have the 02 scrambler 500 and put the below mods. THe K&N was the last to be put on and I didn't feel a difference. I weigh 150 lbs.
