radiator question
#1
i got my predator from the shop, and it leaked out the side
and overheated all the time,so i picked up a thermostat, when i took it
apart i saw what they screwed up,
the o ring sort of fits on the circumferance of the thermostat,so its rubber
on both sides, and then around the outside, they had it in just like a
gasket, sitting against the metal on one side, then the other side was metal
on metal, and the thermostat was also in sideways
one question, when i took out the thermostat, some coolant came out,so do
i need to empty all of it and refill or how do i make sure their is no air
in the system? can i run it for a bit with the radiator cap off let it run
through,then refill?
but it isnt leaking anymore, awesome,so i just wasted two weeks for a 15
dollar part

When I changed my coolant over to engine ice, I ran the motor with the cap off and just kept filling it until I couldn't get any more in. While still running, I put the cap back on and make sure the overflow was at the proper level. Eventually, it will pull the coolant up from the overflow to the neck.
