Default 400 Scambler ?'s

Yes it is true that they are 2 strokes but the 400 has counter balance oil. It is not much but it still needs to be changed every year or 2. The Trailblazer has no counter balencer. Thats why they run a little rougher than the 400. If the 400 is 3 years old already and you bought it used then just for the sake of it I would change the belt. There are tons of mods to do to the 250 and 400 to make them very quick. Clutch kits will extend the life of the belt, clutches, and runs cooler with less slippage. As for the tires they need 7lbs of air. The rear spring is adjustable. The plug is very easy to get to and other than than what you mentioned about maintenence make sure your oil for the injector is full. You should only have to fill it 1-2 times a year. They use very little oil expecially the trailblazer.

Yes 2many, but his post said it has two kinds of oil, counterbalance and crankcase. I'm hoping he meant chaincase or he's seriously confused.

sounds like your belt has a flat spot or two, that will give a ratchet effect. replace the belt!

You can get the manual from your local dealer or from Pure Polaris. Unless you have a highly modified machine, then a stock belt would be the best. They are all the new spliceless belts. If you have a highly modified machine then you can get the kevlar belt, like BayouBlaster said. I just replaced my chain with a DID X-ring chain from Rocky MT ATV. You will want to replace your sprockets when you replace the chain. I got a good set of Sunstar sprockets from Hot Seat. You can get an aluminum lower steering support bearing from Hot Seat or from HPD. Also, if you do a lot of jumping, get a chain tensionor from HPD or Hot Seat. It will help prevent chain breakage in the future
