Default predator HOT SEAT set-up Works!!

Sounds like the story line for a new American Express commercial.

Polaris Predator.... $5900 (just an average price)

Low buck mods to let the motor breath.... $200

Paddle tires and rims..... $200

Beating a larger displacement machine, and watching the owners lower lip puff out....Priceless.

They're all good, ride your fave.

Dear Raptor03

You stated:

A) Your Assumption #1) "since you beat all the raptors you run against......"

I Never said that, they're very close and neck and neck, but that night, against 4-5 different ones, yes I was un-defeated. Not too shabby for a lowly 500cc polaris against 660cc.

B) Your Assumption #2) "the only thing dropping is your nuts"

I've dropped cylinders and thrown rods in my many quads I've owned, and yeah while wrenching on my machine I guess I have dropped a nut or two. Nothing new there.

C) Your Assumption #3) after i turn you into a man,

Son, the day you were born and squirted out between your fat mamas thighs, I was old enough to be diddling my girlfriends out of high school, so act your mature age of 25 instead of your air pressure, whats that, 5-6?

D) Your Assumption #4) "I know reality sucks..."

so does your job at Mcdonalds saying "can I super size that?" Just like your 686 yamaha? oh yawn........

he heh heh. Don't be so proud of your "mighty" yamaha, its clouding your judgement.......you're just running too rich and spewing crap out your tailpipe there son.

Polracer or Jeremy at HotSeat,

You didn't happen to try a clamp-on K&N first did you? Just wondering how the two set-ups compare? For the price I would hope the HotSeat set-up is considerably better. But on the other hand, and not ragging on Hot Seat AT ALL, but there isn't much money to be made from just a clamp-on set-up...

Heapster....what can I say. You're a riot.

Sandpile, I'm 38 by the way. Nuts dropped before you even knew what your's were.

Ride what you want, you come over hear with instigating comments...you're probably gonna get an earful. Now go pick up your Tonka trucks, and eat your brocoli.

I like them all, just don't spout off about your's and I won't spout off about mine.

yes , i did try the clamp on filter with a 170 main jet and it ran equal to the air force kit, which is significantly better than stock. But with the hot seat set-up, i really had to go up in jet sizes to a 200 main, and this thing pulls away from my brothers air forced pred. Ibelieve the combination of the ext. large oval filter and intake tube or the best so far. any questions?

Cool, I have been thinking that too...I emailed K&N concerning airflow capacities of the most common clamp-on filters being used (I think the Hot Seat filter is the RF-1001, not for sure though). Here is the message:

Dear Alan,

The RU-1770 flows 425cfm, the SN-2550 flows 368cfm, and the RF-1001 flows
582cfm. The RF-1001 has a flange diameter of 3.937" x 6.25". It is a oval
flange made to clamp on a oval mount. The base diameter is 5.5" x 7.75" and
the top diameter is 4" x 6.25". The height not including the flange is 5"
and the flange length is .875" long.

Thanks for writing,

Tony Yorkman

K&N Engineering

The RF-1001 will flow about 36 percent more air than the RU-1770, so I would bet if your exhaust can handle it it would be better....
