I emailed this guy before the auction ended and he emailed me back just now. Follow along as I take up this guys time so he might not be able to screw someone else.

Just putting in my piece of mind on this. Yes, aprently there is a ton of these scams going on so i now found out. About 1.5 months ago i fell victom to one myself. 2002 Prarie 650 on Ebay. The buyer agreed to pay for chipping of i payed the wiretransfer fee. We agreed. I wired $4400 +$200 for the transfer fee. Just after i sent payent i recieved notification from ebay and an ebay member that this member had his ebay id stolen. The bogus user used this persons id and feedback rating to post this bogus auction. Guess what...i just lost $4600!...almost all my savings...which i have been setting asside for a new machine. Ebay didn't do jack SH*T for me... they said ooh we can give you up to $200 back...yea big woop. They told me to contact the IFCC. I did. Guess what. They didn't do anything...never heard a word from them. So i'm still out $4600...no one cares...and i won't be able to get a decent quad until..who knows when now. Oh well... Buyer beware. I would be really carefull on ebay right now...

 

This sounds a lot like the guy that tried to sell a "new" raptor. Free shipping and warrenty. Just wire him the money and he would send you the quad from Italy. I remember this from about a year ago. Looks like he is at it again. It shows how stupid they are cuz it is obvious that this was a scam!!

to deal outside the eBay,so I closed the auction.

Yep, since he is emailing you, you should have a record of the ISP that he is using. But... most scams are done overseas because it is very hard to track and nail them because of the difference in laws between the two countries. Anyway, good job.
