Default rcr stage kit 1 question

i was wondering how good of an upgrade the kit is. i ride with a blaster(stock), warrior(stock), 400 scrambler(stock except for a k&n filter) and a trailblazer 400(stock). the warroir and 400s are really fast and i keep right with the blaster. i was wondering how much faster my quad will be after the kit is put on and if ill be able to beat the blaster and keep up with the others. im also planning on buying kenda klaw tires. thanks

Default rcr stage kit 1 question

With the Stage 1 kit you should easily be able to beat a blaster, and maybe keep up with a warrior. the scrammy and TB400 are still going to be faster. The RCR stage 1 kit is the best "bang for your buck" deal around. Rick Ritter really knows his stuff and has the best customer service around. In fact, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he drops in on this topic. There are a few people on here with the stage 1 on their 250's. Give it some time and they should stop by and give their $.02

I do not have a stage 1 kit but when I first got my 250 My friend would allways beat me with his blaster. Then I bought a HPD pipe and clutch kit with a K&N airfilter. Little to his surprise I raced him after the mods and beat him time and time again. He was very impressed and so was I. The only way you will be able to keep up with a 400 is the race mod. The warrior wont be that hard to beat. Pipe, clutch kit and K&N will get you close but it will get you on top end. Get it ported and head milled and you will easily take it. It wont cost much for these mods but you will get alot better performance. HPD has a race mod for $800. This you will be able to keep up with a scrambler no problem up to about 50-55mph. Thats not bad for a 250.

yep thats the special edition sonic blue and that grab bar is one that me and my dad welded together and then bolted on. It really helps out in doing wheelies. In fact, all i hafta do is stand on it and give it gas and it pops right up. Im startin to get the hang of it.
