bigbadscrambler need your help on this one
Ok i decided do exatcly what you did with your light setupon our scrambler but to my trailboss. Well i went down to meijer and found a whole selection of the simulated hid fog lights (or somthin like that) all made by the same company. I looked at the lights that looked as close in size to the stock 3x5 lights. My question is this, they did not list the wattage but did say somthin like 601 on them and even the 55 watt lights only said 501! I assume that this means they are even higher wattage than the 55 watts. Are even the 55 watt ones to high to use?. Should i look for a different size that is lower wattage? What wattage can i use? Any help would be appreciated.

A TB might not have the alternator to handle it, I'm not very familiar with a TB but I know it's alternator is smaller than a scrammy's......2 55w lights is 110w plus the 20 or so for the brake light....that's getting pretty close to the 150 limit of the TB (I think that's what it is)
and as far as the numbers go....I'd say the 501's are 55w and the 601's are 60-65watts.....just a guess though....
Probably best to wait for BBS.....

Sorry, I usually don't get off from work until 11:30.
The trailboss has a 200wt alternator. You should be able to handle the lights without a problem. I have the NV-601W lights. They dont really say anywhere on them what wattage they are. But, when I looked over the instructions it said to replace the bulb with an H3 bulb not excedding 55wts. So, I assume that that means that it is a 55 wt bulb. But you should be fine cuz you do have a higher wattage alternator. If you do run into problems with it, you can always have your alternator rewound for an additional 100 wts
