v force reeds

Default v force reeds

i got a 2003 trailblazer 400 and id like to know how much they are and how much of a gain you get get out of them in hp and mph?

They are the best choice out there. You really don't notice gains until it's matched with porting, pipe, piston, carb, air-inlet. You can always add them now, and build on it. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I know this doesn't have anything to do with quads, but Honda uses V-Force reeds in all their factory works MX bikes. These are $20000race bikes with all kinds of exotic parts and they choose to run a $150 set of reeds that anybody off the street can buy. That says alot about how good these reeds valves are. I put a set on my 01 CR250 and on my first test ride I was picking my *** off the ground and buying a new set of Renthal bars cause I looped the bike out in third gear. They made big power gains in the low to mid range.

reed by themselves on a stock engine you probally wont notice any difference at all. For a stock quad the most noticable improvement would be a clutch kit. It will be a different quad. Then do a pipe, or better yet do both together, then you will see and feel the difference.

The clutch kit will change where and how the power gets to the rear wheels. Your quad wont be anymore powerfull
but because the ingagement and shift out changes it will hit harder.
