Default Predator Torque?

Hey guys..

I've never posted in the polaris forum before but i have a question about the predator engine. I went with my cousin today to buy a predator. When we got back to his house, he let me ride it and the motor reminded me of a two stroke. It had almost no torque whatsoever. It was pretty fast when you get the revs up, but like I said NO TORQUE! I'm not bashing it in any way but is this normal? I mean it wouldn't even climb any hills without the rev's being way up there. My cousin even told me that he thinks his warrior could probably beat it off the line for the first 50 feet or so. Is this common for Predator engines or should he take it back to the dealership?

The first thing I noticed about my predator was that it didn't have enough low end for me. Midrange and top end was great. In stock trim I rode it more like a 2 stroke - keeping the rpms up, and dumping the clutch. I added the WB pure polaris pipe, a K&N, and the low end really woke up. Huge difference. It rums great - a 100% improvement. Kills my z400.
