Default Electric Start on 99 Trailblazer clicks....

Well when I first bought my 99 trailblazer i occasionally had a problem with the starter. I would press the button and just hear a loud click. 5 mins later it would work fine. About a month later I had the dealership do some work on my atv and they were supposed to fix it... It worked fine for about 3 months. About 2 weeks ago it started acting up again but not always. After 3 days of it messing up it just quit working. Now all it does it make a loud click. Soo... I have to use the pull start everytime. Can anyone help me?

Sounds like the starter bendix. Fix or replace. Make sure enough electricity in getting to the starter. Look for corroded terminals, bad ground, etc.

No.... And the most water I have ridden through was maybe up to the floor boards. Is that ok?

Dyeform- Look on the bottom of the starter, you should see the plug. unscrew it and let it sit over night to drain. in the morning or whenever stick it back in and see if it starts.

Polaris does not have the best starters to start off with...I know that we had to replace ours in both machines several times already! but the TB 250 starts easy with the pull start so we are never in a rush to get that one fixed...the magnum on the other hand...later

How much money are we talking to have it worked on...... I am super tight on cash at the moment.

Ahhh! I have a friend who does work on small engine stuff like lawn mowers etc. You think he could fix it?
