shifter question

I just used a "blade" of aluminum. Removed the ball-stud, and drill it for the shaft coming out of the trans, and the hole the stud was in. I think it's only around 5" or so long. Depends on what kind of pipe you have. The HPD ATV8 (newer race style) is a very small diameter back there, unlike the other trail race pipes. You can zig and zag a bracket though.

You have to ultimately decide what you want. By removing the oil injection, battery, floorboards, and the little nit-picking things you can shed a considerable amount of weight which makes for a faster better handling quad.

I've run w/o the cooling fan on mine for a couple of years. You have to run Redline's Water Wetter though....or should I say, I strongly suggest that. Eric and Dennis from Da AZ Boyz first suggested this, and it works. I'm not sure how it would go with the stock head, I know with the HPD billet head it works great.
