How about a set of XCT's? The taller profile will help in the sand as well as for ground clearance.

Default Predator Trail riding

I have actually been leaning to the mudsharks atthe 21" and they at 12" wide (1" wider than stock). They look pretty good all around for my terrain types. Of course, I will get them on another set of rims so I can switch between them.

Another quick question;

The stock gearing ratio is 14/37, which equals a 2.64 ratio.
Most people have said for trails, go to a 13/38, which equals a 2.92 ratio.
What about a 14/40, which would be 2.85?

Why the need and effort to always change the front gear? Is there a specific reason? Chain length? Would the chain have to be replaced for any of these gear changes?
