Honda Utilities Well Built But Dull.
#1
I was with my dad the other day he wants a utility bike and we went to all the dealers. He likes Honda but they all had 2 valve air cooled engines that are smaller than rated (Ex.350=329cc and 450=433cc)whats that about? and the short suspension that look like the tires are going to rub the fenders. He likes Japanness stuff so he ended up with a Suzuki LT-F500 its has the short legs also but at least it is a 493cc 4valve liguid cooled engine with disks brakes and nice alloy rim for the same price as the 433 Forman. We asked about the Rubicon but it would of been $1000 more with no advantage except a Auto tranny.

Ok, i don't want to sound mean but..
Honda's should be reliable, i mean, when you build the same exact models, with nothing fancy, of course its gonna be rock solid. When you don't add on new things, there is no worry's. Just look at when Honda added the Electric Shift program, they had problems with it, it was something new(er) and didn't have all the bugs worked out. I just cant wait to see if and how many problems with debut with the new tranny on the rubicon (evil luagh)

I went to the Polaris dealer near the hunting camp yesterday, and the also sell Hondas.. The Foreman and the Rancher are the same size... If you pulled the decals off of both of them, you couldn't tell them apart.... Unless the Rancher was Orange.....
Honda seems to be the worst about not making any inprovements to their quads, other than new decals every couple of years. The 1999 300 4X4 I have is the same one they produced in 1987, with new decals of course.....

I am with Hermz on this one what would happen if HOnda added IRS, disc brakes, 2 to 4 wheel drive switch, improved there 4 wheel drive system so now they have added water cooling and an auto tranny...so seems will find out if the reliability of HOnda stands true...deep down I hope it does so with the recent new bike of Honda the Rubicon we will find out. And this is not bashing either it is an opinion, bashing is when you leave comments putting a bike down or lie about even owning an ATV like the idiot sledder who doesn't even own a 4 wheeler. I really do think HOnda is messing up making the Rubicon kinda limited supply you would think they would try to drop as many as these bikes the first year in case the auto tranny is a flop. If the auto tranny and the water cooling turns out to be a lot of trouble I think you will see those lines for the Rubicon getting shorter...

Honda's have the best built atv's... they may not look like it but they are...I have an '87 honda and I havent touched the engine yet, and I drive it everyday hard!!...you people probably hardly see any old polaris atv's around because they weren't built good back then...but they have improved i can admitt that even though I dislike polaris atv's.
And Tim1 the EBS is suppose to slow you down when breaking...LOL
