Hillclimber, I'm assuming you mean the Vforce 700? I've seen a few at Glamis. Not very impressed, especially with hill climbing. Not a problem for us 400's! Not a problem for most of the bikes out there. It may be different this season if someone has modded one out, but I haven't seen many motor mods for it.

All I can say is that 400 better outrun a piped predator. If it cant, it wont even compete with my 700. It's got pipe, airbox, clutch mods and I've hillshot against several predators. None could keep up. A ported 400 could outrun a pred perhaps. So maybe you could win. Just dont race some stock 700 with geckos lol. That's a joke.

I haven't found a Predator I can't beat yet as far as piped Predators with K&N's and Straight Paddles. I know the day will be there when one gets me as soon as they start getting into the mods more. I sure don't want to put them down as I am going to buy one this winter so the scrambler can get the race mods and just sit there for the hill climbs and sand drags.

I have a 2002 400 4x4 with HSP speed kit and billet premium head, & extreme 10 paddle haulers and my riding buddy has a V-force with pro circuit duels and home made air box mod. he beats me by about 5 -6 bike lengths at most hill races and can climb some hills that i can't but not many I can climb just about everything. I just got a set of V-force reeds, spacer, 39pwk carb, hpd airbox, twinair filter, and injection blockoff kit. so we will see this weekend we are going to winchester bay dunes

Damn, those modded 400's can really work. I was at some drags yesterday. there was over 25 quads there. And a modded 400 took the overall win. He beat out modded banshees, raptors, predators, DS650's, you name it, he beat it! i was impressed! i think the modded shee owners where too!

Have you ridden a 400L lately!!!!

I can't wait. I should have my bike back together within a few weeks. AZ Bad Boyz is doing all the motor work, race ported, lightened flywheel, removing the reverse gear, lightening my frame, AArms and building me a 5" extended swingarm. I'm topping it off with a full powedercoat, new plastic and a set of haulers! I know a few shee owners that I've got a score to settle with this dune season!!! I imagine the look on their faces will be something like that of those at the drags Scotts!
