i wud defanilty go with the predator because its alot faster and its got more power. Also it will be easier to get through cuz its got a clutch. youll juss get through quicker and easier i think.

I wouldn't worry about the TB400's piston. Polaris has been making that motor for a LONG time. I think they got it pretty much down packed. If it concerns you that much then just put a Wiesco in it. I think that what makes one machine better in the mud over the other has a lot to do with the tires. Razor's aren't exactly a "mud" or even an "all terrain" tire, like the 489's are. So, if you do get a Pred, then do as USMC said and get some better "mud" or "all terrain" type tires put on the back, and maybe regear it to for more low end, like a 13t sprocket. Also, some larger tires would probably help with the ground clearance and give you a bigger "footprint" (with a wider tire)

It's all in the tires. my sons TB250 has 489s and my 400 has badlands (razor wanna bees). He can go through a lot more mud than I can. I've gotten stuck several times when he just goes right through. The little **** likes to give me a good roosting on his way by too!
