Can someone tell me how to adjust the choke cable on my 99' Sportsman 335? The plugs fouls (black and dry). Clean the plug and it runs great for a while. Also, I'm am have trouble finding a service manual for this machine. The books I see online go up to 95'. Thanks, zerob77.

I have posted several times in this forum about adjusting the choke, do a search on this site for "plunger" and I am sure you will find several pages related to the choke. Hope this helps.

you should have a little free play on choke handle. if not, its a little too high in the carb. and letting gas run in all rhe time. you should be ablew to adjust the cable on the carb.

zerob77 you said something about your sparkplug is black and dry, what does that mean because my plug is the same?? also the plug gets real hot and then the quad just dies and once the plug cools and you clean it it runs fine.

Yea, I got the machine used last year. We only ride it once a month or two. For the first few times it ran with no problem then the plug starting fouling. I take it out and clean it and it runs great for a while until it fouls again. The only thing I can think of is that the choke is keeping the fuel mix rich. I guess it could not be getting enough air. This Labor day weekend we'll be up at the farm and I plan to check the intake system. I hope its not a more serious problem. I'll keep you posted.
