Like buying a new car.....thank god for warranties, but in the case of the polaris line with PVT auto, just watch out for the inner seal behind the drive clutch. When doing a belt change, take a close look for damage caused by the twisting of the plastic clutch box. The drive clutch will hit and chew the seal after hard riding which in turn will cause water to get in and no belt likes to get wet. Some of the new PVT boxes have been given a bracket to reduce this but I haven't seen one yet. I've got a 2001 scrambler and it's been a blast beyond words how it's held up to the thrashing. Just that frigging seal....

I like Honda and Polaris. They are my top 2 choice (in that order). Remember what people say on this board is only their opinion. A lot of what you read on this board is NOT worth the bandwidth it takes for you to read it. My Friends ride Polaris and they like my Quad as much as I like theirs. Either way you most likely won't go wrong, they are both great machines... I would go for the Rincon, wait a min, I did!

I think you should do some shopping around for better prices. I don't know where you are located, but there is a dealer in Chattanooga, Tennessee that sells the Scrambler for alot cheaper than that. Do a search for Polaris dealers there, they have a website. If I remember correctly, the Scrambler was around 5200 OTD. If nothing else, check around so you will be a well informed buyer, that's what I always do.
That's cool you guys like your guitars. I like the Strat too, but it's tough to beat the tone of the Les Paul. I will admit, that the PRS has a real fine sound to it. I almost bought one, but the neck was too tall for my fingers. I like the slim taper feel of my Les Paul.
Hope this helps
