Yes, we had same prob. ( July- '03 - on new Trailboss) Gas leaking from hose connections. Took it back to dealer. Couple hours later picked it up and prob has not come back. Rode it 100 miles on trip, no problems.
Townline Sales in Mt. Morris, Michigan did repair.810-787-0057
might be worth a call.

I've already had to replace a oil gasket, chain and sproket, recoil and a floorboard on my 2003 trail boss.

When the dealer took mine back to fix the gas tank they had to replace a starter coil I forget exactly what it was but it had to do with starter and they killed the battery when they were trying to start it. This quad is for my wife she rode it once I take my 3 year old on it and just putt in the woods scary if it is ridden hard. And I was thinking about getting a pred. and dumping my 400ex.

Note the dealer did tell me that there is a major problem with the gas tank he thought polaris fixed it but I guess not
