scrambler died today
i went out riding today and after a few miles it just dies on me,i had no clue what was going on.i checked my plug and it wasnt fouled and everything seemed to be ok.if i pulled the choke it would start and then die and wouldnt start back up,then a few minutes later it would fire up and bog out and die..lastnight i shut the fuel off for the first time in months,i was thinking that maybe the valve got stuck or something?but then i looked and there was fuel in the filter.
i turned the gas on and off a few times and it started right up and ran fine for the rest of the day..i dont understand what happened,im thinking it wasnt the shut off valve because there was fuel in the filter..anybody have any opinions?thanks

You must've woke the little gremlin that was sleeping in da bottom of your tank.... Sorry, You probably did just break something free. Do you change your fuel filter at least annually? People that still run the oil injection should know there's a inline filter by the fuel filter for that also.

you didn't mention much on history so if by chance you have'nt done oil change regularly or even looked at the lower screen on your oil tank[return line] maybe something clogged. When this happins....esspecially with the synthetics, your motor may safely shut down once or twice before any sounds of trouble....then open up for awhile and oil will flow good then......luck runs out, so if it might have cross your mind for a sec....take a minute to check !!!!!!! I took my 2001 500 scram tank right off and apart, found little gunk for the first time in three oil changes and first screen check.... better safe I say. Anyways, this advice comes from a past experiance and later with a chat with a factory mech...beware...takecare....
