i was looking at my rear shock tonight,and noticed the metal ring on the top off the shock that holds the spring in place is broke.there is only half of it holding the spring down.is my spring going to come shooting up through my @$$ soon?is that ring part of the shock or the spring?thanks for the help

lol yeah im going to replace it but i need to know if that piece is built into the shock or is it just a spring collar?
