Is this the only polaris thats doing this? The guy that owns it is a great guy and i want to help him out with out him getting chargeed to much at a shop. I think its might be in the caliper mechanism that moves the pads itself has anyone ran into this should i take them apart? The little rubber piece looks like it would be hard to get back in.

Are all 3 brake calipers locked up or is it just one of them. If they are all locked up it sounds like there is a problem with the master cylinder. It is not letting pressure off of the calipers piston. If only one is locked up it is probably a problem with one of the brake hoses. To test to see if that is the problem open the bleeder screw on the caliper that is locked up. If fluid comes out and the brake is free, you need to replace the brake hose for the caliper.

Sounds to me like dirt in the fluid and/or line. Did you flush the lines. There is also a very small hole in the bottom of the master cylinder bowl that the fluid returns through. Make sure that it is not blocked. You may have to disassemble the master cylinder and blow air through the hole. If the brakes let go when you open the bleeder then your return flow is restricted. I've seen this happen on street bikes before.

Thanks guy Iam going to call my friend and tell him all that you guys have said. I did tell him if only the left front was sticking after i rebuilt the calibers that he should loosen the allen set screw a little. It looks let there should be a setting there but i have no manual.
