HO OR NOT?
My buddy has a 500 ho out of a 2002 sportsman, I want to change out the engine on my 1999 sportsman and put the ho in it.
Will this work with little modifications? can I use the same carb? lots to think about. Thank you in advanvance

HO OR NOT?
First, WELCOME!
Second, it should bolt right up. A few things to note:
You wan the carb that goes with the HO engine. It flows more than the standard carb. The one you have will work, but won't get all the power gains as you would get using the carb from the HO.
You also want the HO front clutch, if you can. It is tuned for the power curve of the HO. If you don't have it, you may want to consider changing the spring/weights, or adding a clutch kit.
Everything else ought to bolt right up.
