Had one for about a month. When you get to herking and jerking on a quad...going over obstacles, the twist throttle can actually be dangerous.

I have always gotten rid of the thumb throttle on my quads I think that they are dangerous but it can work both ways. I think that it depends on what you are use to. I have always ridden bikes in the past so that is what I am use to. Just my two cents????

I have just purchased my 2004.5 sportsman 600 and REALLY want to put a twist throttle on it. However, I cannot find anyone that manufactures one for my machine. Does anyone have any ideas???

My personal preferance is a twist throttle. I've always had 250r's and the first thing I did was switch to a twist throttle. You never get thumb fatigue, and its kind of like cruise control when your just cruising around.
