yes, you can leave the bottom of the air box on. i did , and all works well and fits well. Plus it comes with a K&N crankcase filter and outerwear (waterproof) for both filters.

Default Predator Hot Seat Intake

Just orderd the kit today after thinking about it for a while. 200 bones is alot for a intake kit, but I think from some studying and talking to some poeple which know alot this kit is the best. I had the SBS kit which put out some great power, but I just could not trust the cut out after the filter and it took to much maintance to keep clean. If anyone has any ideas of what jetting I should run it whould really help , I would like to get the jetting right the first time if possiable because the State closed down my riding-testing area that was just out side of town. I'm running the W/B Pure Polaris pipe with 8 disc and spark aarester. And I have a 55 pilot with my spring cut. THANKS

I am running a 200 main and the spark plug was a medium brown. I did have to lift the needle to the 4th clip to get it to respond immediately when I hit the throttle. I think it gets so much air when you open the throttle it actually gets lean right away since there is no accelerator pump. I also have a 50 pilot. When I let off the throttle it gave a rich backfire but turning in the fuel screw eliminated most of this. Don't know if it is perfect yet but it is strong enough that I went to a 15/37 sprocket combo on my 18" tires. I like how it can pull strong in 2nd and 3rd and running tall gears reduces...shifting.

maybe you will have better luck than i im having. i would say its not worth 200.00 just my opinion. i went back with my clamp on. i think its getting to much air. maybe ill try bigger than 200 main later on little disgusted right now.
