A Few Predator Bolt Sizes
#12
Generally speaking, a ti bolt (smaller variety) will cut the weight in half, as copared to a steel bolt of equald size. Now when you get into larger fasteners, engine mounts, wheel studs, etc, the weight savings can be quite a bit more. I haven't had a chance to drop the machine on a truely accurate scale system lately. It's the old drag racer in me that seeks out the ounce in sixteen places to make that pound. You also gain strength, and it never corrodes. If you take one corner of a machine ( wheel studs, brake caliper mounts, and a few others, like shock and a-arm mounts), and over time change out those fasteners, you should easily be able to surpass the pound mark. Now match that up with other misc fasteners around the quad, and you could easily approach the 8+ lbs mark. Eventually, match that up with chromoly a-arms, swingarm, steering stem, and rear subframe, touche' it'll be a light one.
