Default Quieting a HPD pipe

I recently purchased a Scrambler with a HPD pipe. I would like to try to quiet down the pipe. I bought the quad for hunting and its to loud. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Jake

There really is no way to quiet the pipe. You might want to go with a stock pipe because they are really quiet.

Do you have an HPD muffler or stock muffler? I have a HPD pipe and MTQ muffler on my sons 250 it's a good bit louder than my 400 with HPD pipe and the stock muffler.

HPD sells a quieting kit. Very simple, yet very effective. This is applicable to both the pipe and silencers. I've knocked over 10 db off the pipe and 2-3 off a silencer.

I have the HPD trail pipe on my 400. At first, I ran it with an RCR silencer. This set-up was really loud. I put the stock silencer back on fro hunting season. It is alot quieter and it seemed to give me more lowe end power. So, I just ended up riding with the stock silencer all the time.

Thanks alot for all your responses. Im not really sure if its the stock muffler or not. Is there anyway to tell. The muffler thats on there now looks like it came off a volkswagon.

LMAO! That's funny! I'd say that is the stock muffler. I think the only way to make it quieter would be the HPD quieting kit or the quietest thing would be the stock pipe.
