Hey guys
No, i'm not buying a new 4 wheeler, but my pop's is thinking of buying one. ON the side of the road is a Mag 425. Its a regular blue color, i don't know what year it is exactly (97-98?) I wanted to know how much you guys think its worth. Its got a little less than 500 miles on it, tho it needs a new rear chain. It was a farmer's so i'm sure he pulled alot of stuff, and didn't maintain the chain. other than the chain, it looks like a new machine, tires look like new. Also, its got a Plow with the deal(the plow looks to be in quite good cond), i'd like to know what you guys think its worth, with and w/o a plow.
Thanks a ton, i'd love a machine to pull out my Trail Boss with

I have a 98 Magnum 4x4. Is this machine a 4x4? This option adds about $1000 to the price. I think the blue models were 2x4 and the green like mine are the 4x4. I paid $5500 for my 98 new. I think it is still worth around $4000 with a plow and winch. Go to www.kbb.com. You can look up the book value on the machine. The plow cost around $300 new and a new chain is around $75. If this machine is a 2x4 98 in good shape, I guessing its worth $3,000. But I'm just guessing. Oh, by the way, I love my Magnum and have not had any problems with it, though you have to keep the chains waxed. Let me know what they are asking for the machine.

I just bought a '96 with almost 300 miles on it for $1700. It is spotless! The plastic is not even scratched. But, that is a once in a life time deal.

I do not think $3,900 is too bad of an asking price if the plow is included. I would try to talk them down to around $3,500 if you can. Keep bringing up that it needs a new chain. The owner may not know what it cost to replace a chain. Check over the entire machine. If the guy did not lube the chain, he may not have greased it very well either. Post another repy if you have any questions about the machine.
