Why won't you buy from Hot Seat again? How does your 600 work? WHat kind of problems did you run into?

Sorry about all the questions

yeah..im curious why your upset with hotseat..they've been int he game for a while now, cant say the same for Hardrock..sure they may have some products out, and so far alot of people have liked them, but they're still fairly new. But please, fill us in on your experience..

Oh and hardrock said they may have a CDI for around $100 but its still in the testing stage so have to wait some more time for it..

I don't want to bad mouth a company on here. I've already said enough. I know they have been around for quite some time. That is what confused me about the experience I had. If you really want to know what happened send me a pm. Hard Rock has a few CDIs, one of them being the Vortex. They sale anywhere from 400 to 600. They have a CDI that is currently in their R & D department that they are still testing. Jason at Hard Rock said it will be around $150. They only difference is that it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the more expensive ones, like a control button on the handle bars. Just depends on how fancy you want it and how much you want to dish out for it.

Oh ya, the 600cc is running really good now. My pred was out of commision for quite some time though. After everything is said and done, I think it was a little pricey for what I got.

Hmmm, $1495 for the Hot Seat kit, just under $1100 for the Polaris 440 kit. Anytime you get into a motor kit that includes a totaly new cylinder, I think you're gonna be hard pressed to find anyone keeping the costs under a grand.....at least any reputable company. I would be extremely careful (this is my opinion) when it comes to major engine mods and components. Stick with established companies. Let the new ones work out the bugs....there's nothing wrong with a new company....it's just a whole lot less expensive to let someone elses motor do the testing. Granted, even with established companies, there can still be some bumps in the road. As long as someone is realistic when the talk to the company, there should be no problems working things out.

Personally I don't like it when things quit when I'm 10 miles back in the woods.

hey pred fan, I see u have the hs 600 kit and the hf intake. Which one did u gain the most from and was the big kit worth the $1500. I also see alot of people in here have 13-38 gearing, I have the 38 but my dealer cant supply me with the 13. Does anyone know where they are getting these sprockets and what it will gain me as mine is stock yet. Thanks for your time. why so dissapointed with hot seat

Pred9000 has the 600 kit, not me, so I can't comment. As far as gearing the 13T with a 38 rear makes a huge difference. It makes 3rd-& 4th much more useable IMO. 13/38 is 2.92 ratio vs. 14/38 is 2.71. I'd figure you'll lose about 6-7 mph on the top, but gain a ton of low and mid performance. You can get a 13T at www.sprocketspecialists.com or rocky mountain ATV.
