Default speedometer

hey all, i am new to this forum, but have been reading all your info. on here. there is only one word for this site "AWESOME", this place is great, but enough about that. I have a 99'Sp. 500 and i recently had it serviced. the speedo won't work and the guy said something about a digital something by the tire and it was gone and the "kit" was like a $100 bucks! what do i need to fix this, he said there was no cable for this model, it was digital.
2nd- i need some tires, any ideas for mudding, water, fields, and trail riding.
3rd-Need 3 headlights working at the sametime, can i do it myself, if so, what do i need. (specific if you can, if not, thats ok too). thanks a million all!

Is your 4 wheel drive working. I took a nasty spill on my 99 sp500 and my 4 wheel drive stopped working. I traced it down to something in the speedometer. I ended up replacing it but know everything is OK. Well everything except the moisture that gathers in the new speedometer. Does anyone know how to get any of the h2o out. Thats all I can contribute.
