1polaris only way we can fight the politicians is for ever body vote these kind of people out of any kind of leader ship possesions. if you dont vote you have no right to say any thing about it. when bush took office he let up on some of those restrictions he has a lot of people fighting him over that.

 

when is this show on and what channel? iv never seen it only see stuff about dirt bikes on speed channel.

When he was testing the 700 Sportsman, which was the first time he gave the high accolades to the thumb throttle, he mentioned in his "bad points"; A 4wd system that "among other things" you must press an override button for it to work in reverse.
Hmmmm.... The only other thing you do with my 600 is slide the AWD button to "ON". The system does everything else.
The only thing I can figure is he got it confused with those excellent Jap models where you must press button #1, then slide a cover over, then press button #2, then wait until the servo decides to engage the system.
Or press the button, wait for the servo, then use your left hand to squeeze a lever.
Both systems of course are much simpler to use than simply sliding a button over and forgetting about it.

I guess the "other things" he was talking about must have been how it works so smooth you don't even know it. Or maybe how easy it is to steer compared to the Japanese full lockers.
Or maybe he just likes not being able to keep both hands fully on the grips.
Or maybe he is just used to waiting on those servos to engage and quickness of the Sportsman unnerves the man.

i had the sprortsman 500ho and the 450 kodi. i hated the four wheel drive system on the 450 the sprortsman was superior to the 450 kodi and thats just the way it is. i have only seen atv television one time but really dont care to i wont buy dirtwheels eather.

 

A while back I asked how to get a new thumb throttle for my Sportsman 500 without having to buy the whole throttle assembly. I just wanted the thumb part. Guess what, no one out there had an answer. So I decided to make a mold, then I made throttles with liquid plastic. Now I have made a bunch in different colors - blue for a friend - green for another - and my favorite is the transparent one(like ice). Polaris should make this little part purchaseable to its customers without having to buy the whole throttle assembly which costs 160 dollars canadian.

 

It is funny, when the Predator first came out all of the mags and shows hated it even though at the time(and maybe still now) it was the superior sport quad. After the first 6 monthes they finally started giving it some good reviews. Then after a year great reviews. I began to see them in the backs of trucks and on trailers everywhere. Raptors, 400ex's,and even Ds's filled up the Cycle trader here. Now two years later The big Three finally produce something in it's class and the Jap zombies are back singin the same tune. Funny how the song changed when they had nothing to offer.
