Trans gear on scrambler 500

When i was oiling up my chain i noticed the out put shaft gear is lose on the spines it will move about an 16th of an inch side to side not back and fourth. is this normal or is something rong.

The front sprockets on the Sport/Scramblers normally have quite a bit of movement. I normally change mine out yearly. Hot Seat sells some replacements, as well as Sprocket Specialists.

Thanks for the input! Also when its time to get new sporkets should i mess with different sizes or leave it stock?

I would just leave it stock cuz you don't want to mess up the 4wd system. Some people have played around with different sprocket sizes on the 4x4's but you can't really go to far with it.
