Cheap gas gauge by Bic
#1
It's so simple I wish I'd thought of it years ago. I drained the fuel tank, then added a gallon and marked the outside of the tank with a Bic marker "1". Added another gallon, marked "2", and so on. Now I can pop off the right side panel of my SP 500 to see how much gas is left. The tank is tranlucent, so with some squinting you'll be able to see the level of fuel.

When I read the headline I visualized some oakie idiot peering down into his gas tank...all the while flicking his bic lighter to light the darkness
