Default BIGGEST TIRES ON STOCK POLARIS 600 RIMS ???

HELLO FELLOW RIDERS,
DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW WHAT IS THE BIGGEST TIRES I CAN MOUNT ON THE
FACTORY STOCK POLARIS RIMS FOR MY SPORTSMAN 600 ?
STOCK SIZE IS = FRONT 25-8-12 AND REAR = 25-10-12.
I AM THINKING OF PUTTING THE 589`S IN FRONT = 26-9-12 AND REAR = 26-12-12.
THE 589`S ALSO COME IN 28-9-12 FRONT AND 28-11-12 REAR.
WOULD THERE BE ANY PROBLEMS ? HAS ANYONE DONE THIS ?
ALSO I HAVE BEEN READING ALOT OF POSTS ABOUT THE BLEM TIRES FROM NEBRASKA TIRE . COM.
I JUST GOT THE TITAN 589 26-12-12 REARS. THE ADD SAID $ 45.00 EACH. I THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD DEAL. SINCE MY DAD ONLY LIVES 15 MINUTES FROM THERE , I HAD HIM GO PICK THEM UP.
WHEN HE PICKED THEM UP TODAY , THEY WERE $ 35.00 EACH ! WHAT A DEAL ! HOPEFULLY THEY
WILL GET MY FRONTS IN BEFORE HE COMES TO VISIT NEXT MONTH.
I KNOW THERE IS ALOT OF MIXED REPLIES ON THE BLEM TIRES , BUT FOR $ 150.00 FOR A SET
OF 26 INCH TITAN 589 MT `S, HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG ??
I JUST HOPE THESE WORK WITH MY STOCK RIMS , AND ARE GOOD FOR PLOWING SNOW.
I AM GETTING MY 60 INCH MOOSE COUNTY PLOW IN 2 WEEKS.
ANY IMPUT ON ANY OF THIS WOULD BE GREAT ! NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE FEEDBACK WANTED !
THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIES. MAKE TRACKS >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>

Default BIGGEST TIRES ON STOCK POLARIS 600 RIMS ???

Hello MNSportsman,

You should have no problem with the 26s on stock rims. That is what I am planing to get for my 600 when my Rawhides wear down. I hear that the Nebraska tires just have the name scratched off the tire, is that right? I'll get them from there too, even with the $15/tire shipping fee, still cheaper than anywhere else.

Good luck and have fun.

Default BIGGEST TIRES ON STOCK POLARIS 600 RIMS ???

I'm running 28-9x12 front and 28-11x 12 rear ITP 589s on the stock rims on my 03 700, should be the same as the 600. I have about 1 inch lift on the front, but the main problem I ran into was tie-rod end clearance. You can get around this with a few washers on the lug studs but I chose to use the 1 inch highlifter aluminum wheel spacers. I also moved the floorboards back about 3/4 inch. They still rub the front fenders a little sometimes but nothing to worry about. I would think 26s or 27s should fit ok, not sure about the tie-rod clearance.

Default BIGGEST TIRES ON STOCK POLARIS 600 RIMS ???

THANKS FOR THE IMPUT.
I WILL POST MY OUTCOME OF THE TIRES FROM NEBRASKA TIRE
WHEN I GET THEM . MY DAD WILL BE BRINGING THEM TO ME OCTOBER 18.
I WENT WITH THE 26 IN SIZE. POLARIS OFFERS THE SAME SIZE IN A DIFFERENT BRAND
IN THEIR CATALOG . ( 26-12-12 R & 26-9-12 F )
I DON`T WANT TO HAVE TO CHANGE ANYTHING OR ADD SPACERS. JUST SEEMS LIKE
MORE WORK THAN WHAT ITS WORTH. I THINK A MACHINE WITH THE SAME TYPE OF TIRES
IN THE SAME MUD HOLE DO THE SAME , NO MATTER THE SIZE. IT IS THE DRIVERS THAT MAKE
THE DIFFERENCE. THANKS
