I agree with warrior 92 i have a stock banshee and i ride in the dunes and i have never seen a predator beat a ds nor a banshee. I have seen the predator in a drag race against banshees, raptors, z400s, 400ex's, yfz's and the predator always gets beat up on. I have seen stock banshees beat predators in the dirt too.

 

Guy this might be a polaris forum, but i have to say that the Predator isn't all that great. I atually think it sucks. You people run down all these other bikes like the raptor, and the banshee or YFZ450, even the DS 650. Well i will have you know, that you can take the predator against any of these ones listed. and it will not win. Now that is stock.

 

warrior92 im sorry you dont no what your talking about stock on stock the predator will beat a shee i have done it a bunch of times with not much a prob. i seen stock raptors beat stock shees. i dont see any body nocking the other quads when you talk drag racing thats not knocking any bodys quad you sound like you are the only one knocking other people quads you must be a little kid. its a known fact that a predator will beat stock shee and stock raptors and you cant stand it. grow up!! i have freinds that has shees and raptors so dont be telling febbs.

 

the shee and the pred are pretty close, and i've seen some shee take the pred. i've never seen one lose. but it could be the rider too.

 

I can't speak for previous year DS's but I can say that I do pull away from them. All of the owners of older DS's say that they feel that Bombardier did something to the power of the 04' that feels faster than the older ones. I also can say that I have beaten EVERY stock quad that I have raced. I only lost one race so far and it was to a Beast of a Banshee. This guys Banshee was clocked a 104.4mph on a Gps and 104.1 on stalker radar!!! I was at 81.9mph and he went by me like I was standing on the sidelines watching. My only mods are a 17 tooth front sprocket, heavier clutch springs and a K&N filter with stock jetting. I could go faster but my rev limiter keeps me below 7900rpm and I hit that easily in fifth gear. A DS comes stock with 48 hp, this Rotax motor is no joke.It is the same motor as the BMW street bike. I never said the Pred was a bad Quad, I kind of like them. But they still have a way to go. The pred does handle great once you get used to the different feel. The 04' DS's are narrower than before and have a shorter swingarm. It also weighs about 47lbs less, then the 03', according to our scales. Exceleration from a stop is actually faster in my experience than everything except a Cannondale. I just can't beat their holeshot, I'm close though. People have to really take another look at these new DS's I think they will be impressed.

 

i agree cop i think the 04 ds will beat my predator but the motor is allmost the same one the bmw. the beemer uses ther own head on the 650 dakar. and uses fuel injection. and its fast. i cant buy anything from germany or canada or france i dont want to argue about that thoe it get to nasty. i would love to have one of ever thing. maybe i will someday.

 

umm... actually ive taken piped shees, a piped raptor, millions of z's... the predator isnt as bad as you all want it too be. your just mad cause you get beat by a POLARIS.

 

i know your right hozed. yes i have beat some piped and jetted shees to it true. i didnt really want to say that cuz it starts to much trash talk. never raced a stock shee in the sand raced some modded shees running on methonal they beat me good.

 

ya i will say that a shee and sand is quite impressive.

 

I've never seen a Banshee drag a Predator but have seen Raptor destroy a Predator. And I have seen a Banshee beat a Raptor. Using simple logic then it seems that a Banshee would probably beat a Raptor.
